So Carol Danvers is multilingual, an Air Force colonel, and a bunch of other stuff, but 3/7 for intelligence? And 4/7 for fighting skills? Fuck a bunch of that. I thought the whole “official” height/weight of 5’11”, 145 would be the most irritating thing about that character bio (back pages of the first trade), but nope.
According to the Marvel wikia (so take this with a grain of salt), the intelligence levels go like this:
1. Slow/Impaired
2. Normal
3. Learned
4. Gifted
5. Genius
6. Super-genius
7. Omniscient
So Carol at most fits 4. (Same level for Steve Rogers, Clint Barton, Wanda and Pietro Maximoff, Natalia Romanova, Jan van Dyne, Susan Storm, Ben Grimm, Jean Grey, Jessica Drew and several others. Seriously, look at how many people are in that category)
As for the fighting skills (which measures Hand-to-hand skills):
1. Poor
2. Normal
3. Some training
4. Experienced fighter
5. Master of a single form of combat
6. Master of several forms of combat
7. Master of all forms of combat
I don’t know that Carol’s ever been mentioned to have mastered any form of combat, so 4 would be a good level to place her at. (That puts her at the level of Hulk, Thor, Iron Man, Thanos, Spider-man, Victor von Doom, and a whole host of others as well.)
